The people have spoken. 5 (45%) of the 11 votes wanted to offer Matt Holliday a 6-year deal at $16 million per. That would put the total value of the contract at $96 million, 4 million shy of the total worth of Albert Pujol's 7-year/$100 million deal signed back in 2004, signed through his 31st birthday. Inflation is very real, and it stings.
2 votes were split on 5 years (18%) and Don't sign him. 63% of the voters wanted to offer Matt 5-6 years, pretty much the same numbers we've seen bandied about in the media. Once we see what the final contract amount is - with whatever team it is - you can see how well you did sitting in the GM fancy chair.
Next up... same rules, same deal. You can make a non-negotiable offer to Mark DeRosa. What are the contract terms?

Vote on Matt Holliday
We all are well-versed on the Matt Holliday saga by now. MLBTR reports that Boston offered Matt a 5-year/$82.5 million deal before signing John Lackey; all signals point to the $16 million mark as the market going-price for the left fielder.
You play GM. Knowing what you know, knowing that Holliday could walk away from your offer, which is non-negotiable after it leaves your hands, I ask you this...
