A tough loss tonight, but a very Happy Easter to all! There's not much you can do about Roy Oswalt when he's on.
What is there to say about Albert Pujols? The man's having a tough time at the plate, and let's be honest, last year wasn't the most optimistic of years concerning Albert's foot. I know he'll come around, but there's a point where we need to start getting production from our number three hole, let alone the most productive hitter in the league.
.059 batting average, 1/17, 1 SO, 3 BB
Albert's performance will be crucial to getting this offensive engine rolling. Last year he was able to carry the team before he got his injury. This year, he's needed someone to carry him, with no takers save one night of Chris Duncan. I'm having thoughts about a possible lingering injury in the back of my mind, which I'm sure he'd be quick to dismiss. His struggles wouldn't seem so bad if Scott Rolen and Jim Edmonds weren't having such a tough time at the plate as well.
More on Al soon...
Check out Sammy Sosa, who just hit his first homer since 2005. I can hear the radio stations now: "Why didn't we pick Sosa up when we had the chance!"
Happy Easter, everyone!
